Simply have today announced William Devine, as the newly appointed Head of Scotland. This marks the official move for the UK lender to develop their commercial offering to support customers, brokers & dealers Scotland-wide.
William joined Simply three years ago, after a long career in the hard asset space across Scotland and the UK with various funders. He initially worked to enhance Simply’s strategic broker partnerships across the UK. In his new role, William will have full responsibility for Simply’s offering in Scotland and will contribute to the overall growth strategy of the business, helping to achieve further success in the country with customers, brokers, and dealers.
Mike Randall, Simply CEO, commented: “We are proud to support SMEs across the UK and are very excited to develop our strategic plans in Scotland. As we emerge out of the last 18 months, access to funding will be of paramount importance to businesses. Simply are here to support SMEs in Scotland. We want to be visible and present for all UK SMEs and, the new role will help Simply to achieve this for Scottish businesses. William has many years of experience, understands local business needs, and will achieve great success in his new role. We look forward to helping the Scotland economy grow further”.
William commented: “This is great news for businesses within Scotland; by establishing a local presence, we will be able to support the funding needs of SME customers, brokers & dealers across Scotland. As we exit the restrictions of the pandemic and the economy bounces back, there has never been a more important time to be close to our customers. We understand how best to support them after a difficult period – particularly with the Simply offering of flexible terms, consistent lending appetite, and excellent service.”
“This new role represents a challenge that I have fully embraced. As a Glasgow native, it’s a proud moment for me to lead this investment from the Simply board in Scotland. I feel proud to support the local business economy, expanding our business and continuing to deliver the best customer journey across the markets in which we operate.”
William will look forward to expanding his team with two new starters this month.
